That’s not the experience I had at all with the G6. When my XR30s initially shipped, they accidentally shipped a blue with my pros. I compared both and the blue at 100 on all channels could not get even close as white as the Pros at 25% whites.
G6 both Pro and Blues are more blue than G5. With trying to get the Blues to be white, because there's so many blues, you'd need to run whites at 100% and blues at around 60%. Swapping out to G5 Blues I think would get the color you'd want. Running whites at 100% and blue/violet at 80% would still be much more PAR than running Pros with 30% whites, since there's so much few blue LEDs. Also G5 would give more PAR since the lenses are more narrow.

I appreciate your input. G5s are discontinued and I’m not willing to buy used LEDs. I’m just going to add 2 XR15 G6 blues. I only need about 100 more par in a couple areas. The overlapping of the light should do it. Most areas are perfect at 350-400 par where my mature colonies are.

A cheaper option would be to switch to more narrow lense kits? That will increase PAR as well without having to spend $500 per unit.

How well visually do the Pro and Blues blend when mounting next to each other? I have 3 Pro’s and I’m thinking of adding 2 Blues. So starting from 1 end in a line, it would be Pro-Blue-Pro-Blue-Pro. I am also running 4 T5’s (blue plus). This is on a 72x28x30 tank. My Par is just under where I want it to be in various areas with the 3 Pro’s set to 95% intensity with every channel at 100% except for red, green and whites which are at 25%. If crank up my whites to 100%, it only gives 50 more Par in all areas and it’s way too white. Plus I don’t think my Acros will like too much of the white. I’m thinking the overlapping light with 2 additional fixtures and being the blue will push me to the Par I want, however I’m concerned with color blending of the Pros with Blues.
As long as you alternate them, no discernible difference. See pic below.

Amazing tank! Thanks for the picture. Yes, I was planning on alternating. I really only need to squeeze out a little more par, maybe around 100-150 more par in some areas. My tank is 72x28x30. I’m thinking that adding two XR15 blues to my 3 current XR30 Pro’s and 4 T5’s should do the trick. I was thinking of going with two additional XR30’s but this would not allow very good ventilation the way I have the Radions lined up. The XR15’s allow some breathing room in between the current XR30’s.
