I had been running the LPS template but have read most people running the AB+. Have had lights for a week. I will attach a picture of the schedule. I was under the impression I just select and let it rip. Not sure if too much light is being produced.

Pretty much. The shade part in light blue corresponds to the light output, ie: the light schedule is set to 50% intensity (so even if you have an individual light channel set @100%, this modifies it accordingly). I'm not sure what size/depth your tank is, but I run 75% schedule intensity with my G5s using a RMS tank mount with a tank depth of 23.5".
