Hello all, I would like to put LPS, soft coral and some easy SPS in my 60 gallon cube. I have one radion in it right now. I was wondering if I needed another to grow the corals or if one will be fine?

you will be fine with that light. If you decide to go with SPS i suggest putting them towards the middle top. Is the Radion the Pro?

Is that the Xr15 or Xr30?

As well I have the wide eyed lenses. Do you think that’ll help?

You should be fine with that then. I have a 60g cube with a gen 3 Xr15 maxed out on a program similar to the AB+ program and my corals are happy. I've had softies and LPS in there for a long time and just added some SPS sticks about 3 weeks ago and they're looking good also.

Do you put any corals in the sand? I’m just wondering if the light is sufficient enough down there

I have a chalice, a torch, hammer, acan frag, and a galaxia frag on the sand. I'll get some pics later today.

We have always stood by with a recommendation of 200 PAR on the Sand Bed.

Photoinhibition occurs around 500 PAR and most SPS Corals produce groovy reflective pigments...

We developed the Sirius XTC to cover 24x24 on a tank 30" deep...

Given the fact we have a much stronger 400-450nm than the Radion I cannot recommend it over ourdemostic fixture...

That said the Radion is a quality fixture much better than the the majority of budget imports...

Your question would be much better fielded by a more open forum not our company one...

    Cheers
    Bill
