Looking at possibly buying a Radion xr30 pro Gen 3 for my 40 gallon to go with my Ai Primes. What is a good price to pay for a Gen 3 Radion xr30 pro. I am looking and found one for 200.00

If you find one for that price I would 100% jump on it! Best of luck in your search!

Be sure to check out the marketplace and on your local groups to see if anyone is looking to get rid of one! Solid light!

I always seem to be odd man out on these things. Gen3 came out seven years ago (maybe eight). Doubt it’s even serviceable anymore. I would not personally buy any lights that old, let alone pay $200 for one. $100 maybe.

I know people with the earlier Radion units including G3 that failed at the 4-5 year mark range.
Keep that in mind as well as spectrum change over time.

This isn't a bash on Radion but what should be expected with any LED unit.

For an LPS softie tank as long as it's still running it's probably ok per spectrum degradation.
