Yesterday was my mothers' 60th birthday, my new job is under the umbrella of the Local 63 Sheet Metal Union. I've been in training all week at the hall. Managed to watch a few beginner videos on youtube and asked the trainer to let me spend the 2nd half of yesterday making something for her from scratch with no power tools... He handed me a 16x16" square of sheet metal, and 4 hrs later I managed this... and she absolutely died when I gave it to her..

On top of that, my better half, Kalisha, spent 3 days prepping a custom fondant cake for her. Shes a greek country girl, and theres nothing she loves more than fishing... she recieved it at a surprise party we threw her last night and man did it come out incredible!

Mandatory 8hrs today back on the factory floor, will be heading down to the big apple to ice skate under the Tree at Rockafeller Center for Kalisha's bday, Which is today. Looking forward to a quick getaway and to see the legend, @NY_Caveman again.

Sunday will hopefully result in a quick jaunt west to New Jerseys' northwestern edge to see @Crabby48 as well.
