Got a few chords to manage, but it's a wrap.

Gotta figure out the ATO now and decide on a resevoir I can make that wont spoil the work I put into making the sump look clean and organized.

Decided to wait to see the impacts of a week without a skimmer on my po4.

I'll get the ulr checker back today hopefully and see what its climbed too... and then I'll hook up the skimmer and see what the rate of decline is every 3 days or so.

Happy mothers day to all... and Sunday is TTLC day.

I gotta start by saying that all week I have been doing like many, and spring cleanup has my hands blistered a bit. We have a peach tree and a flowering dog-wood tree. They are both in bloom and are looking amazing.

After clearing the fence of vines older than me, I sat out last night to a nice burn-down of the brush and had me some Juice.

Skimmer is back in, and wow. Just wow. I hear my overflow trickle, but not the skimmer. Nothing... and the micro bubbles seem much more fine. Super small. Excellent. 26 bucks and it runs like new again. Just awesome.

ANNNNDDD.......

To my astonishment...
I tested po4 for the "ground zero" reading if u will... and I couldnt believe the first test... so I tested it again.

I know most people would die over a number like that. But I had declined to about .22 before the skimmer impellar failed. So after a week with no skimmer, I expected to see .28 po4 or something. So I'm ecstatic to see it stayed the same.

I guess the bag of phosban and new carbon I threw in after the skimmer died to help actually worked.
:thumbs up:

The bta is fully extended daily and is rewarded for its work with krill and chunks of LRS Frenzy.

The OctoSpawn is settling in finally. Almost half the stretch of the bta now,

Got a minute to breathe... adulting with a kid sucks. Sorry. This whole thing with fostering just made me realize I ain't ready... and thankfully my better half feels exactly the same.

Here is my procrastinated PAR Mapping rendition... I will be creating a Map with a key if u will in order to navigate which coral are which in what locations, as well as future plans for additions.

Never had my PUR go below 71% on the sanbed, and was hovering around 79% at the peak spots under the hydra footprints.

Made me want to sell the led strips and replace with 2 bulb T5 Coral+ fixtures. I could get much better numbers without a doubt.

15g wc last night, and then tested this morning.

Po4 still at .23, no biggy. More Phosguard gfo and new carbon tomorrow.

Debating selling my indo torch for a gfo reactor. Needs it's own pump, never did the manifold when I plumbed :: shrugs ::

No3 at 30-35ppm
Ca was down to 410, so I dosed it.

Also got the fuge light on a timer finally... and also installed a 2500k 16" led strip on the far left of the tank and tied it into the power console. So during the day, I have an easy switch for working in the sump when fuge light is off.

Found my 6 line on the carpet, psuedo prolly chased it out lids still have been put on, blame my laziness and busy new baby schedule. Just never got around to it I've been so busy. Sigh.

The lone surviving texas chainsaw Anthias and red fire fish are still looking good and eating lrs and pe mysis daily in the QT. Still havent used copper. No signs or spot. Poop is normal. Will continue to monitor.

That's about it for now. Gnite reefers

Your tank is looking great man! sorry about your Anthias :( Your probably better off without the 6 line, my brother in law has one that after a few years turned into a complete monster and killed everything in his 90 including a large angle and full grown huma trigger.

Thanks for the compliment on the tank. I'm just ready to sit back and let it go now. Finally.
