Actually semi interesting spam lol, this is my flame angel!
... There are less than ten of these in England, she is captive bred, not raised, rare around the world I believe!
When I got her she could swim through egg crate!
No she does not eat corals. ;)
She is my little minx, yes she is naughty but if she ever went rogue, not going to happen btw, I would set up a folr for her! ;)

I voted for you pal
Thanks bud.

Well it's been over a month since any real wc's, besides the one 5g I did last week. No work today, so I tested.

Ph 8.0
Sg 1.025
Ca 430
dKh 8.3
No3 20
Po4 .32

Everything is growing, maybe i just dont have enough coral yet, and nothing is big enough to really put a dent in the big 3 relevant to my water volume.

Ca dropped 20ppm, and dKh down .1, but considering the length of time since the last wc and I'm not dosing, I was hoping to see a bigger drop. Meh.. guess I'll just keep testing weekly and look for any more decline.

Po4 came down on it's own, never changed carbon or gfo. I havent fed the pellets but the rest of the routine is the same. So it appears the spike I endured was in fact the pellets. Guess I'll just use them to ghost feed the QT.

Had a few more zoa frags I made melt. Lost 4 total, but still have the same ones surviving elsewhere. I expect the reason to be the po4 spike. Hopefully things will settle now.

Lights are ramping up, maybe I'll take some photos later.

Great to hear the phos is coming down, go system go! :)
Yep, I knew something was up when it was climbing over the coarse of a month. Pellets seemed to be the culprit. Otherwise, just Let it be

Remember our lessons ftom the @NY_Caveman Less worry on numbers watch your corals and listen to what they tell you. Your tanks happier than its ever been your doing a great job slow and steady as she goes my friend.
Yep. Just gonna stop doing wc's until I see a drop. The no3 is rock steady without them. So maybe I'll eventually see a drop and then I can start playing with the doser :)

This is obviously the issue, regardless of what else was said. Not enough corals.
Are u suggesting I get more coral? Tough decision there. ;)

I think your fine with a Nitrate of 20, mine won’t budge from there and it’s been sitting there for ages (years). I would prefer around 10 but with the amount of fish I have it’s never going to be low.

I’ve always found phosphate to be the cause of issues and that’s why I keep it locked down <0.1 and try to keep it around 0.03. It prevents unwanted ‘things’ growing.

And if you want to start dosing just go shopping and get some more corals

And great pictures Rich!
