Sooo I'm getting ready to do my first aquascape and I've been watching video after video. Something that caught my attention was a guy raised his aquascape off the glass using feet he cast in ice cube trays. The idea sounded good to make it easier to clean sand under or around ur rock. Just curious if anyone has done this? Is it OK to concentrate that much weight on the glass in small points vs just having the rock sit on the glass ? I am planning on a 1in to 1.5in sand bed. I've heard bare bottom isn't newbie friendly lol

You could do that, but I would use plastic egg crate and then it will also spread the weight of the rocks

I don’t clean the sand so my rocks are direct on the glass at the bottom
