tank been up 12 years it has been taken over by soft corals I want to take rocks out clean and redo I have 2in sand bed by doing this and adding dry rock will cause problems for tank a new cycle or other problems
thanks for any info

You know as well as me, that disturbing a sand bed will cause some nutrient issues that you will have to handle, along with the Alk, and Ca demands changing. Adding new rock will not impact the tank, but the amount of rock you are removing will reduce you bio load capacity until everything catches up. Might want to be cautious on feeding for a while, and measure parameters until things calm back down.

what if I just take one rock at a time clean off mushrooms and put back
