The only time I used this sand was for a few weeks in my inexperienced saltwater tank. Its been sitting around for about a year and a half and I'm finally older and prepared to start a tank. Ive been rinsing the sand to reuse it and making sure the water is clear but the sand smells bad, not horrible you have to put it near your nose to smell the dead fish kind of smell but I was wondering if this is okay and normal for reusing sand or am I going to need to buy new sand. Thanks!

Definitely normal to reuse sand, coil a hose in a bucket put sand on top of hose turn it on. Rinse repeat until clean.
