Realistically: What tank would you get right now if you get a new one?

If you could get a different tank right now would you?

I'm fairly happy with my 25 Lagoon. But it is getting a bit cramped, so I wouldn't mind jumping to a 50 Lagoon. But, probably no bigger.

I would not buy red sea or waterbox type tanks. They are way over priced and quality does NOT meet the asking price. I would go custom. custom tanks plus
Hi, do you own one, if so which and what are your thoughts on pricing for acrylic vs glass? Just trying to understand your thoughts above just price.

Ok this isn't a question about crazy dream sizes and swimming pool reef tanks! HA!

Being realistic, if you could get any tank from any manufacturer right now what would it be and why?

If you already have the tank you would choose tell us which one it is please!

I don’t have a large home footprint wise. Have 3 stories but smallish floor plan. For this house my “dream tank” would be 180-200 gal tank 24” tall and 24-30” front to back and up to 6’ long with corner overflows that are more space saving.

I would love to get a cube all in one. Something simple, 35-45 gallon with sump, top off, and good lights. I'd love to have a clam in this tank and a few fish and mostly LPS corals (mostly Acans).

While I do like my 180 I would get something customer from like a ReefSavvy with a ghost overflow. To me the ideal spec would be 84x30x25.

I would get a red sea 900 XXXL just for the way the sump is set up. I would then probably sell said setup for half the price and buy a custom made sized tank. Although I guess Glass Cages would count as a manufacturer so I would just go custom with them.

I am planning a 270 gallon peninsula (84x30x24) or a 240 gallon (96x24x24), both from Planet, all depends what will fit in the new house. I have a ways to wait though.... Should be done in 6 months and then we can see what looks best in the living room.

Currently have a 125 gal and would love to go to a 220. Prob. end up with a waterbox as I like the idea of it all in one to set up. I'd go the largest. Issue with mine is the 18" width. I want wider

I have a 200 peninsula (48x36x27") that I'm happy with. But if I was going to do it again I would add another 2 feet for 300.

The biggest aquarium I would want regardless of funds would be 500 gallons.

i mean who wouldn't want a new tank.. but as i'm going through year 1 of new tank i don't feel the urge to do so again anytime soon

that said, a 5'x2.5'x1.5' would be really fun.. and i have just the spot for it..

I have a 180g peninsula.

If I could swap it out right now, I would go with a 60x24x20 if possible.

I recently bought my tank for Crystal Dynamics. Its a 180G on a steel stand. My biggest reason for going with Crystal Dynamics is they are a local company to me. I am extremely happy with the tank. I was able to work with them to customize my tank. Funny part is now that I have it and got it up and running I realize that I should have had a few other things done. I think this hobby will always be an evolution for me. Each new tank has been a step forward towards the perfect tank.
