Is it possible for a newly added tang that began displaying symptoms of ick in the first couple of days to recover? Multiple spots and protruding bumps. Tang was being bullied and not eating. But today looking much better reducing of spots and bumps and eating

Certainly.
But if they came off, they might find a new host.
The ick leaves scars.
If he eats and acts normal, just keep watch.

Feed heavily for a week or 2. He will need his strength to recover.

Just beware that you aren’t seeing normal progression of ich; at first, the trophonts are all in sync and drop off together to form tomonts. Then, new theronts reinfect the fish in a few days. Eventually, they get out of sync and you’ll see spots all the time, and increasing numbers.

So it may be too early to tell but the powder brown tang completely recovered. No more spots and he is eating. The other fish didn't have any effects.
What I did..

I added 3 power heads 1050 gph each

If you didn't do anything (like add a UV to help subside the bacteria population from growing) than that probably wasn't ick could have been stress spots. Or it's currently in a cycle where it's in the sand and hatching again sometime soon.
