Red algae on wall

I am growing red algae on the wall of my tank and i would like to stop it before it gets big what would you suggest to get rid of it?

Yeah that looks like Redslime. Few questions. How old is your tank? What are you parameters?
This is usually a low nutrient issue and to much white light. Change to blues, you can do a black out for 3 days. You can also use Chemiclean and follow the directions. Use an air stone. If you have a skimmer it will go crazy so what i did was removed the catch cup and let it bubble over. Hope this helps.
