Hello fellow reefers,

My tank has hit the year and half mark and the sponges are starting to go little by little but I just noticed this red patch looking thing? Kind of looks like red ogo but more filmy like? It’s also growing in top of the pineapple sponges that are there.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hard to confirm on a phone screen but is it slimy or wiry looking
Using a turkey baster, if it blows away, may be cyano bacteria- need closer pics
If not

Cyano can come back after ugly phase? It’s not so much slimy. Looks like a really thin piece of cloth
