I have a big red mushroom (about 2.5" across). It seems to move around alot. I had it in a mushroom cage, with some rubble in hopes of getting it to attach. I got it to attach and then glued the rubble to a low rock in my tank. Two weeks later, it let go and I found it floating around the back of the tank...sometimes upside down.
The cage is a DIY device I got from a friend - it's a plastic deli container with a mesh top. This keeps the hermit crabs out and the mushroom can't float out.
I put it back in the cage. When in the cage, it gets comfortable and spreads out to about 3" across.
I am not sure what do to do with it....I am thinking of creating a bowl from rock rubble and see if it will learn to live in it.
Suggestions? Idea?

hi, either will work, but use a glass bowl ,if going to bottom of tank,
with rubble, will keep the crabs out.
