Does anyone use this salt and know the exact amount of cups per gallon?

I don't have a scale, and pounds per gallon is the only amount listed on the bucket. (I've also read that measuring by volume is more accurate than measuring weight, because weight changes when salt absorbs moisture, or something along those lines...)

I know 1/2 cup per gallon is the amount recommended for some other brands, but I thought I'd ask here first before mixing and testing salinity a bunch of times to get it right.

What salt are you using now? Any special reason for switching?
Red Sea is fairly expensive for me while Fritz RPM has similar parameters and is relatively cheap.
...beyond that, if you're new and trying to decide which salt to use,,, that's a very subjective topic and you could easily find MANY threads discussing that on this site.
