Me, I don’t mind the cluttered look unless it’s a FTS, a macro, or showing off livestock. However for equipment I don’t mind clutter.

3D printed template brackets for DOS pumps. One for utility tank water change. This will be main filtration on this tank since it’s too small for a skimmer. One for water changes on the DT. And one for Calcium/Alkalinity dosing along with a DDR on the DT. The mineral dosing on the DT will be controlled by a Trident. These brackets have little nubs on them to hang the DOS. The DOS are high inside the cabinet so finding the hangers are tough without the template.

@Sean Clark just a bracket to hang DOS pumps, nothing more. I had a DOS hanging high inside my cabinet on screws and it was difficult too align the pump with the screws, it was in a a tight crowed space. These just make it easy to align with the nubs that act like screws to hang the pumps.

I’m putting together a little project of connecting a switch panel to an Apex BoB. I want the switches labeled in a certain way to make them stand out. So I contacted Ryan Leafgreen that did an acrylic sign for my frag tank. I sent him these image mockups and he said he could do anything.

I like your bumpproof switches.
Would the lable piece mount over the left and right switch locknuts or behind the entire switch housing?

It would be cool it the label panel was an exact copy of the switch body shape. So a nice oval with the same radius on the ends.

@Sean Clark brillant!! Yes the bumpgaurds, the shape of the housing, and the lighted tips of the toggles make this unit look really sharp. You came up with a brilliant idea. Putting the labeling sign behind the switch body instead of hanging it in front. I could get the same size and shape of the body that way and at the same time avoid invasive dremeling to get it on the front of the body. I could attach the sign through the screws holding the bumpgaurds on the back side. See image.

Here’s a link to the custom LED lit sign I want built for it:

@Projects with Sam no I bought these on Etsy. I don’t have a 3D printer but wish I did. Maybe I get one someday.
you should! they're pretty fun. Its paid for itself in fidget spinners and paintable figurines for my kids.

And helped me enjoy RC crawlers.

Now I'm bringing all the fun here!

Matt Coddington, @cromag27 , is doing some custom acrylic fabrication for me. Specifically a clear acrylic box to mount on a controller board to enclose two Apex COR-15 pump module controllers and a panel with three toggle switches. (See photo 1) He's working on it now and will have a drawing once he has it built.

Photo 1
COR box 1.jpg

He's putting an acrylic key lock (green) to prevent tampering with pump controls and toggle switches. The box also will have hinges (blue) so when unlocked the door on the front can be lifted up to access buttons and switches. (See Photo 2)

Photo 2
COR box 2.jpg

There will be be a space (red shading in photo 2) in the bottom part of the back pane of the box so that the switch holder and oval grommet can come into direct contact with the controller board and access the back of the board through the oval cord holes.

Photo 3 shows how the Apex pump modules are secured to the board with their mounting tabs.

Photo 3
COR box 3.jpg

Photo 4 shows where the screw holes go through the modules mounting tabs then through the acrylic box back pane and into the board. Thus allowing the screws to support the box. The front door can be lifted to allow the modules to be accessed, removed, or replaced while unlocked. While locked, the door prevents little fingers from tampering with output settings.

Photo 4
COR box 4.jpg

Photos 5 & 6 shows approximate overall box dimensions: 10”W x 10”H x 3”D. The height from top to bottom of the space (not shown in photos) in the bottom part of the acrylic box back pane is approximately 3.5”. Photo 7 shows the acrylic lock. No worry of rust in humid environments. He's including an extra key.

In the quote above I provided and ordered the acrylic box from Matt at Octo Aquatics @cromag27 . Here it is, mounted to a controller board:

Dropped the DelCity switch panel and broke the plastic holding the bumpguard. Bought a Break out Box with DC jacks on one end and pigtails on the other from Smart Reefing Integrations for the switches. See LED on tip of toggle switch lit up.

Sad news. The switches with the panel are rated at 12V for 20A. The BoB is only 0-5V. Powerful enough to light up but not trigger the tile on Fusion when the switch is flipped. Can’t use these for the BoB.
