Two Aqueon 10 gallon tanks from Petco. One for quarantining fish and one for quarantining corals.

Plan to have the two quarantine tanks on top of the utility stand. Pic below.

Make sure you look into ick becoming airborn. Something about QTs being like 10-12 feet apart from other systems. Not sure about it though.

@Fudsey you are correct about ich being airborne although just through water droplets. The individuals are 12-15 microns in length. Too big to be airborne without a water droplet. Yes a recent BRS video about quarantining said that tanks should be distant from each other. Maybe I'll just have one QT since I cannot fit another stand into my fish room.

Pink streaks are beautiful fish. Shy but beautiful
I checked several sources and they are recommended for as small as 10 gallons. That’s the volume of my frag/QT. I will have wall to wall eggcrate in the tank for frags so that fish can swim below the frag rack for shelter and then above when it’s feeding brave.

Making room for my UV INside of cabinet. One time had BRS 5” reactor where green circle is. No more room for reactor. Just have to place a media bag with media in a high flow area of the sump now.

Thinking of getting a slab of this quartz stone to put on the utility stand, have a lip stick out around the perimeter, and put the QT on top. Can’t get ahold of the guy who sells it locally although he’s based out of town he covers my area

@Perfectly_Imperfekt1 don’t know if you got the notification email or not but Avast came out with an upgrade to the v3.5 PLANK feeder. They have an upgraded full feeder or the kit for the path to the v3.5. The main difference is the Sicce pump from Micro to Nano with less noise, easier assemby, and much easier flow adjustment to name a few. The keg part of the feeder and the actual barrel itself are the exact same. Just the parts that go inside the barrel including the pump and the mounting bracket are different and are what come with the path to upgrade kit. The kit is on sale $10 off and I already needed to buy something else from them so I combined the order to save money. Bottom is video on how to setup the PLANK v3.5 and review by TheCoralReefTalk.

I have the doors off my RS250 stand for now. First pic: glass cabinet door for the water change & mixing station from Cronos Door shipped across the country.

Thinking about custom designed and built doors for the RS250. Using aluminum mosaic sheet metal (below) with Apex orange acrylic as a backdrop.

And insert this fan with control unit right through the front door of cabinet.

Don't know if I've ever posted these 3d printed door knobs I bought, but forgot to plan on adding them to my custom done doors. Plus the APEX logo on the bottom pic.

When I had it set up the first time, the tank leaned forward and it showed with the water’s surface. The water’s surface looked much higher in the front. However the floor was quite weak and it’s level could have given way. After draining the tank I took the whole stand apart about two years ago. When putting back together I used my trusty rubber mallet and was careful to avoid jammed locks. I think the panel(s) are warped.

There is a gap between two panels and the cam-lock and dowel on the very bottom of the right front corner are showing. The separation here scares me. I tried tightening it by turning the cam with a philips screwdriver but it didn’t pull things together.

Thinking of putting a triangle piece of wood inside the corner where the red markup is. Then taking those big C-clamp like tighteners used for glueing wood to hold things tight, then screwing in the wooden triangle.

I reinforced the bottom of the stand with a 2x6 and screws where the cam-locks didn’t pull together.

I am interested in this ATI nutrients method. I was originally going to use RS NOPOX for Carbon dosing plus Brightwell nitrogen and phosphate dosing to balance nutrients but this is using two different systems. ATI simplifies it in one system with an integrated calculator to keep it all balanced. But I couldn’t find any videos on YouTube about the system.

Had to remove the strip of LEDs that light the cabinet. Putting an a steel angle iron strip along the inside top/front edge of cabinet to support/strengthen. I’ll be left with battery powered lights for the inside cabinet. Hopefully won’t need to get in the cabinet while the fish are sleeping.

Installed a couple of 4-way electrical wall outlets. All available circuit breakers in the inside circuit box were used up so had to route conduit to a breaker box outside.
