I got 2 Reefwave 25's for my Reefer 250 and really like them. I put them on either side of the overflow at the back-top and combined with the return, the tank has a nice even circular flow and they are are silent as long as they're 40% or below, which is a good amount of flow.

Wednesday Test Results
Alkalinity 7.1 DKH (Hannah)
Phosphates .05ppm (Hannah ULR)
Nitrate DNT

Dosed
Vibrant None
Microbacter7 None
NeoNitro None
NeoPhos 10ml (should bring phosphates to .08)

Purchased 5 trochus snails, indo branching frogspawn and an aussie violet tipped purple torch from my LFS. Love the euphyllias.

Ordered ESV 2 part from @Bulk Reef Supply to start dosing. This will help raise my ALK & PH. I haven't tested PH in awhile but prior tests were always below 8.

Current livestock list has been updated (Page 1, Post 1)

Rick where are the updates to your Reefer 250? Just checked out your build thread. I like that scape!

Yea, I need to do that...it's really come a long way since my last post, lots more corals (mostly SPS/LPS) everything stable.

Lets see them! You still have your school of chromis? I tried 5... all died within 48 hours. Ive never understood why fish shops label them as "easy".

I don't...I ran into a GHA issue and reduced my bioload and they were getting larger, so I sold them locally. They all were healthy and made it through a few bouts of sicknesses in the tank. Never fought with each other. I had some years ago and they picked off each other one by one. Liked them for movement, but they had no personality

Happy Sunday! Completed my testing for the day. Nitrates I believe are much higher than 4 ppm, 4ppm is as high as the pro test will read. Next time, I will do a diluted test for a more accurate reading. API test kits are very hard to read - PH was either 8 or 8.2! Livestock all happy and healthy.

Sunday Test Results
Alkalinity 8.1 DKH (Hannah)
PH 8.0 (API)
Nitrates 4+ ppm (Red Sea Nitrate Pro)
Phosphates .02 ppm (Hannah ULR)

Dosed
ESV Part 1 - 22ml
ESV Part 2 - 22ml
Vibrant - None
Microbacter7 - 5ml
NeoNitro - None
NeoPhos - 20ml (should increase phosphates to .08 ppm)

Added a nice sized ORA Red Goni today, great looking coral. ALK has consistently read between 8-8.5 DKH. Because of this ive stoped dosing the ESV 2 part. I will continue to monitor frequently. What may work best is dosing a small amount (10ml) every other day or so.

you got a pic of your tank... we would like to see your progress..
Just took this for you. I need to get a filter for my iPhone... have been looking at the polylab kit. Any recommendations? Have really enjoyed my tank since overcoming dinos. Absolutely love watching my torch, frogspawn and red goni! Rainbow BTA and blastos have been doing great. Duncan has been disappointing and believe im losing my red monti cap which would be my first coral loss. Hows your tank these days?

very nice.. how you liking the red sea lights?
Love them, perfect amount of shimmer and corals have responded well. Also love the ReefWave which was the latest piece of equipment I added. Controlling both via the ReefBeat app is a plus as well.

Whats new with your tank? Love that blue tang...have always wanted one but that ship has sailed. I would have had to introduced the blue the same time I added the yellow.

I'm looking at the EcoTech Marine Radion XR30 G5 Pros..not that I don't trust the RS LED90.. But want more light if needed. I added the purple Tang last month and he has taken over as boss man.. I'm running out of space but ordered some SPS to compliment the LPS in my tank.. I'm really liking my torch garden..

Really like the thread. I have a Red Sea E-260 with the sump upgrade and it's 16 months along. Instead of the ESV you may want to try the Aquaforest Component 1-2-3. I have been using it for a looooooong time now and am VERY happy with it. I get great growth out of all my corals. I dose 130ml of each every day and am maintaining Ca 450, ALk 10.5. I have attached photo below.

I have the 50s and love them as well, the 90s I’m sure how more power (duh 90w) but I’m pleased with mine. Actually adding some frags tomorrow!
