Local reef store has the older versions on a red sea tank.

No question....even those lights throw serious PAR and the coverage is excellent. The problem is the limited color channels make the tank look heavily actinic like kids who run RB only on paly tanks and you can't dial it out. A lot of SPS guys want a wider spectrum. Please throw some 630nm LEDs in there and Im a potential buyer. 9000k LEDs are just a marketing gimmick. It amounts to just a weak green channel.
