ok he it is i ripped all the rock out and starting freah with marco keys rock
after hours playinmg with it and 4 times redoing the tank
i am now happy with it wow only took 4 years lol
so here are so pics

thanks all i redone this tank 4 times in the last 4 years this time i think i got it down now i need to cycle and get me corals back in it

meet to how long do you think it will take to cycle ? i used the old sand just new marco key largo rock do you think it will cycle?

I wouldn't do it any other way...;) I had a sps reef in less than a week and I used dry rock and new substrate.... Just re-used like 50 gallons of my old tank water...

Oh ya I forgot about the lights... Either way works man, what ever you perfer, your just colonizing bacteria, it will grow in the dark...

however, I prefer to start the habit of a proper light cycle....
also- if you run a uv or mechanical filtration remember- do not use either during tank cycling
