Official Entry: I love that the ReefMat continuously takes waste out of the water without the need for removing and washing out filter socks and filter floss on a regular basis. If I got one I could be lazy and not worry about waste dissolving back into the water. Love that they kept a place for me to keep carbon running as well. Official Entry: After over 3 decades building and maintaining reef tanks, I always look for upcoming changes in the hobby including “new” applications of technology and changes in husbandry practices. I watched with interest as the various filter rollers were introduced but always felt that unless you were running a giant sump they took up too much real estate. It appears that the form factor of the Reefmat is more user friendly. I also appreciate the app support.

Official entry: I have been waiting anxiously for these to become available. I have Red Sea tanks and want more than the filter socks for mechanical filtration. I especially like the feature that keeps it from forwarding when the pumps are down as I stop my pumps every time I feed.

I'm stuck on the app, I love it. Anything that helps to automatically improve this hobby is a huge bonus. Great design love how user-friendly it is when coming to changing the roll. The thought of going from almost never using socks to never using socks is definitely worth diving into this contest.
