False... You know where this high ph stuff started? I believe with some advice Julian Sprung had gave me 15 to 20 years ago. It didn't work then and it don't work now for me. Eventually a high ph can kill everything in our reef though.

I would say that it isn't 100% not true. I would say there is no true evidence of that. I know from past tanks where I couldn't keep or wasn't getting my ph stable above 8.1 that I was having trouble with Dino. Now that my new tank is stable and ph is always above 8.25 that I have not had any issues with any algae or Dino. My thoughts would be u have to have stable higher ph to keep it at bay or to never have any issue of it.

I will say false unless you raise it to the point that you are killing other things too. I think it depends on the type of dinoflagellates. Perhaps member Pants will join in this discussion.

Didnt work for me. Dinos beat kicked my butt and threw me down. I had to reset the tank, start off with MarcoRocks and had to bleach all the pumps, tank and equipment. Also started with 100% new livestock.
