Has anyone had issues using the bracket that comes with the Reef Breeders photon v2 on a tank with a rim?

I doubt you could hang it high enough with the included metal brackets. I had to hang mine at the recommended 18 inches to get proper spread with no hotspots.

Wish I could tell you about the brackets that come with it. But I have a V2-50 pro on our 100DT and I think this light is great light. Easy to use and I hit 150par on the sand 22inches of water and the light is 13 inches above the water. Running the blues and violets at 70% whites at 30% red and green at 15

Mixed reef, headed sps dominant and everything is growing great. I've had a Walt Disney and a strawberry shortcake a little over a month and they are encrusting nicely, a war coral on the sand that was half a skeleton placed in the tank at the same time its completely covered the old skeleton and spreading fast. 3 head hammer placed same time now has 7 heads. Hopefully this helps with any decision about this light.
I am one that will be using these lights as long as they are available.

I used them for a while on a standard Marineland 75. I don't remember any problems. Then I hung the light from a shelf I made.
I still have them somewhere.

I ended up hanging it from 2x4's screwed into the ceiling joists. Appreciate the responses
