If I understand the math, the non-water portion of NSW is 35,000ppm, so the water portion would be B. 965,000 ppm.

Of course, it is entirely possible that I don't understand the math and the answer is A, C, or D.

Nope. The "* 965 (g/kg)" takes care of that. There are 965g of water in each kg of NSW.
