Love these micro reefs. I think these will be pretty hard to maintain in the long run , but they look super duper cute .

I wonder if the lights are controllable . Ato and temp control will be criticism. I’m seriously thinking of getting one and just see how it goes .. specially the tend in ato , temp , pH charts etc

Looks pretty cool. Doing 50% water changes is at least very easy.

it’s awesome to see him at large in the event. I recall going through his videos , 6 years before , while starting my nano tank for pointers . Kudos George.

Thank you @Ranjib, @robsworld78, and everyone else who made the reef-pi presence felt at Aquashella! Although my maker skills are a bit rusty, I have been part of the maker/hacker/phreaker/open-source space for a long, long time and excited to become part of the reef-pi contingent! Thank you in advance for your patience as I get back up to speed. As a side note for those of you who only know @Ranjib online, I had the privilege of meeting and spending some time with him this past weekend at the show and he is awesome to hang out with and I really enjoyed getting to know him a bit better.

I owe you some instructions as well, and will ping with the setup bits once you got some basics doing ;)

Back in the days when people went to offices, met up with Ranjib as well, always nice to share ideas and experiences.

Smart plug and powerstip demo.
this is the smallest , most minimal demonstration of a reef-pi build using a pi zero.

The controller itself has no extra circuit or sensor. It’s is still capable of controlling various tplink kasa smart plug or power strips .it’s is very good first build for beginner . It allows builders to get comfortable with the reef-pi software without any significant circuit work.
Items in the build:
- tplink kasa hs300 powerstrip
- tplink kasa hs303 powerstrip
- tplink kasa hs104 smart plug
- tplink kasa hs110 smart plug
- raspberry pi zero
- ds18b20 temperature sensor
- float switch
- kamoer 12v dc motor based peristaltic pump
- latching , spst switch for dosing pump
- 3.5 mm , 3 pole audio connectors for probe connections
- microusb cable for pi zero power, connected to kasa power strip
- 12v , 1 amp dc power supply for dosing pump
- controller and doser housing are 3D printed, with pla , using creality ender 3 printer

Hello! Do you have sensor circuit configuration guide for this setup? Thanks.
This setup uses the temperature sensor and ato circuit . The temperature sensor circuit is same as the adafruit guide while the ato sensor (float switch ) circuit is same as wiring a button
