Great thread! I'm getting my 37.5 ready right now and my Evo13 will hopefully look half as good as yours as my frag tank. Thanks for the updates! This is what it looks like now.

Minor update

I managed to squeezed a few new additional frags into the tank ;Happy

  • Utter Chaos Zoa (6/29/19). I don't know what's so special about Utter Chaos. Thought I try and grow out some. So far the frag is liking the setup and managed to grown additional 1-2 polyps since it arrived.

  • ORA Weeping Willow Toadstool (7/1/19)

  • Dendro (7/1/19)

Everything are doing relatively good. Space is a precious commodity these days.

I don't think beauty of clove polyps is that much appreciated. I have two different small patches and enjoy the elegance it bring and the pop it has in blue lighting.

I've seen the mentor threads here. I'm currently interviewing for a second job so I can afford to pay you. Where do I send my resume to see if I qualify to be worthy.

Incredible tank

Thank you for the kind word.

PH probe is by BRS which is hooked up to Apex Jr. controller.

PH on the tank is relatively low and has been consistent since setup within the average range below. I had tried many methods to increase the PH and just settled on whatever the tank wanted to settle on. Kalwasser with RODI is the only thing that would affect the PH on a regular basis.

Territory Warfare...

I knew this may bound to happen more frequently as space become limited. Two days ago I discovered after work there was a white film/puss on 1/4th of the red Trachyphyllia. I knew immediately the reason before I even took the coral out to inspect it.
IMG_20190808_201732.jpg

The red Trachyphyllia was attacked and eaten from the outside by the orange Lobophyllia next to it overnight. Somehow red Trachyphyllia got too close to the Lobophyllia. Not the first time has happened unfortunately.

Luckily I saw the destruction early enough to rinse the dead tissues away before it completely fouled the tank.

I am optimistic the trachyphyllia will recover. I may thinking of elevating the Lobophyllia with pvc pipe as a creative way to avoid this issue going forward.

Any thoughts?

Vid Update
Below is a quick video of the tank that I figured would be easier to share than taking multiple pictures and then uploading here. This was taken right after feeding today just before pumps resumed.

This is one of the best time to enjoy the tank imo. Everything is so clear and water is calm. Best view sometime is from the top. View like this is why I have this gem call a reef tank is in the house and is worth the the time and money. The phone camera is not the best but does the job ok to represent how it looks true in life.

Latest update during today's feeding.

00100dPORTRAIT_00100_BURST20191012191917478_COVER.jpg

On a high note:
  • The red Trachyphyllia that was beaten badly from about two months ago looks to be completely healed.
  • The wall of blue clove polyp is getting large and looks to need pruning soon. I think it's out competing the gold spec zoas I had growing on the glass wall as I noticed those have thin out while this has spread.

Surprised to still be around....Berghis Nudibranch

During feeding today I found a little surprise in the tank: one very large Berghis Nudibranch. It was surprising because the last one i put into the tank (1/2" in size) was back in late August. And today I am still seeing at least one very large (over 1" inches) one remaining. Great critter imo. Wished I could feed it something but to my understanding it only eat aiptasia which it looks like is all gone from the tank now thanks to it.

Outside of this, the nano tank doing very good.
