It's likely Canada has different offering due to shipping limitation. These are available on Amazon via here. I have found it is less expensive to order from other vendors than amazon.

I plan to build a platform and stack them; both to get them off the floor and leverage vertical space. They are very compact which is great for tight spaces. It also has a relatively wide opening cap at the top and an 3/4in. bulkhead fitting at the bottom which means I don't have to drill or installed opening for bulkhead.
Thanks for the link. Although that one does not deliver to Canada, it did give me good search terms so that I was able to find others like it. I’ll be ordering a couple of 20 gallon containers.

Setting up in progress... so far so good.

Starting on setting up the cabinets once I had a chance to inspect the tank and sump yesterday evening. Glad to see no visible damage as far as I can tell during shipment.

During the cabinet installed, I was taken a bit by surprise when I saw black cabinet panels. I ordered white cabinets! What the heck? Turned out not everything had to be white and it took me 5 minutes to realized it. First instinct was to call customer service.

Stand Up!

It may have taken a 3-4 hours but I did managed to get the stand setup. The installation video was extremely helpful even thought it was a tad different than what this model is. I could not imagined doing it using the paper instruction provided...it would have been an act of frustration otherwise. I still have to aligned the doors but that should be minor.

It turned out to be white after all :) . The stand looks much bigger than I had imagined.

Next Up...
  • Ensuring it's leveled
  • Moving sump in but before that I will need to modify the sump to be able to accommodate CLARISEA rollermap somehow.
  • Need to determine where and what size hole to cut through the wall so that there is ample room for:
    • RODI plumbing
    • Dosing pumps plumbing
    • Refugium plumbing
    • Automatic Water Change plumbing
    • Misc room for anything else that may be needed from behind the tank
  • Moving the TANK and plumbing it

Tank moving ...finally

Today is the day. Finally getting the tank move in place today. With holiday and work/travel, getting help has been problematic. Can't wait to get plumbing started.

Tank is leveled. I have placed the tank 6" from the wall. That seems sufficient space for me to get my arms in without too much trouble. I tried more space and it just seems more than necessary for my need without sitting too far from the wall and impacting the hallway.

Last pic before tank and sump are moved in place.

Tank is finally loaded!!!

Excited to see it on the stand finally. Now I can start making more progress.

Next steps:
  • Removing the 1st filter sock and baffle from the sump to make room for CLARISEA rollermap
  • Plumbing
  • I plan to cut a small hole through the wall to the other side where the closet sits for things like:
    • ATO water (i am not planning on using the ATO box in the sump)
    • Dosing
    • AWC plumbing
    • Refugium plumbing
    • Misc room for anything else that may be needed from behind the tank

Check...Removing the 1st filter sock and baffle from the sump to make room for CLARISEA rollermap.

Removing this was an act of frustration :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:. 2-3 days on/off with some trials, errors and much cussing but it finally came apart. I was so close to using a cheese slicer wire and a glass cutter as a last attempt. Luckily after using just a blade and a fishing line, it did the trick. In hindsight, a fishing line would have done the job just fine.

So if you're trying this, USE Fishing Line or cheese slicer of the right size. I bought a thin and lighter fishing line earlier today on the way back from work. The fishing line broke a number of times before I was able to finish the job. I was able to double up to speed up the process. Pics of the mess of success below!

Yes I did even used the hair dryer and mallet on the dang glass baffle; it was that frustrating

This SUCKS....literally

I got in a pair of suction cups today in preparation for the move. This should help with carrying the tank a lot better than using my bare hands. This thing can SUCK.

IMT 8" Glass Suction Cup

It's called IMT 8" Glass Suction Cup. I got it off Amazon. Got 4 of them. Working out well so far. So far I have used it for moving my large screen tv. Made picking up the unit over our head to hang above the fireplace much simpler.

For the tank and sump, I had 4 guys helping me and we used 2 while they themselves had 2 suction cups of their own. Definitely handy to have around. I have also been using it to move the sump around myself while I do the plumbing.

Aquascape...getting close to calling it done

Below is the latest aquascape incarnation. I managed to lego a number of pieces together on/off over the past several weeks using gel glue, glue accelerator and e-marco-400 aquascaping mortar. Thoughts?

I am thinking there should have ample space to bring over the 3 small structures I already have in the Reef-RC IM Fusion 20"v2" Nano and place them in-between the new structures as noted in red square below.

The big concern I have is that this may be too much rockworks. I like to have adequate rocks for filtration but not too much or too little

Preview of the aquascape in the tank

I had a chance to place the pieces into the tank to get a feel for it. Here is the latest view. I plan to ponder on this for next day or so before call it done and mortaring in the pieces that need it for stability purpose. What do you think?

Aquascape...good enough

At this point I am calling the aquascape good enough and marking it off as done. I did add a few additional pieces since last update and strengthen the add on pieces using mortar.

Next up...finalizing plumbing and start cycling :)

Return line plumbed into filter roll...check!

I had a dilemma on how this would work in terms of accessible and easy removal for maintenance purpose. The most challenging and frustrating part was looking for parts; especially for those parts that goes from metric to standard. Just a freaking pain and time consuming. I detail out the sizing in case someone with the same or similar Waterbox sump decide to go down this path.

In the end I think this will do and seems easily enough to remove as needed. The tank water line sits directly on top of the filter roll inlet; 3/4" to 1" in. I did not have to hard plum this in since it just slip on.

I did had to use a platform for the filter roll to ensure it sit above the water level.
