I have 3 main ones but likely have 20-30 in total due to how many crevices there are in the rocks :)

Shockingly enough, none! Did used to have a real nice one on my 15G over a decade ago, but ended up dismantling it because it wasn't an efficient use of the surrounding space, being my only reef at the time and all. Wouldn't mind setting one up again though.

Reef scape shapes: How many arches do you have in your reef tank?

Arches are a key aquascape feature in many reef tanks that provide cover for the fish, mounting locations for corals, and visual beauty to onlookers. You can add different sizes, shapes, and numbers of arches. These may be DIY arches, prefab arches offered by multiple vendors, or arches created by the careful arrangement of an assortment of reef rock. What is your experience with arches in your reef tank? Please let us know in the discussion if you have any tips or thoughts to share about arches! Oh, and we encourage you to share pictures!!!

I tried to count the amount of arches I have. Probably around 50 arch pieces. depending on which side of the tank you look at, they make up around 20 visible arches. Have one arch piece on the bottom that is 32" long that supports the load and bring both side of my tank together.

I have one main arch connecting my 2 rockscapes but probably at least a dozen small arches for caves and swim thru s . You can't really see them in the pic now due to corals but they are there and 12 fish use them all daily.

I'm a bit old school, still have the 'wall' and just added a couple more to it- but it has plenty of spaces for the fish to swim in and out of and there is some depth in some areas- I prefer a look that's more reef like
