So let's have some fun with this a Reef Themed Pumpkin Carving Contest!

Start: NOW

Deadline: Oct. 30th 11:59pm est.

Let's make it as simple and fair as possible!

RULES:

1. Carving must be yours.

2. Carving must be newly carved (this year) and be reef aquarium themed.

3. You must post a photo of your pumpkin carving in this thread and it must include something with your R2R user name written on it. (see example)

4. You may enter up to 3 pumpkins.

PRIZE:

We will have 2 prizes. One prize will be given away via random draw from everyone who participates in the contest. The Grand Prize will be the best carved "reef themed" pumpkin chosen by the Reef2Reef Staff. So you don't have the winning pumpkin to win a prize. Just participate!

Random Prize will be a $100 Gift Certificate to any Reef2Reef Sponsor you choose.

GRAND PRIZE will be a $500 Gift Certificate to any Reef2Reef Sponsor you choose.

I hate to say it, but I think you missed the deadline (12am EST). But in case you didn’t, repost a picture with your name on it, so if they wave the deadline you’ll otherwise be eligible.

My non-valid and late entry is something truly scary...STN!!

I put the first pumpkin that I carved out in my garage thinking it might last until Halloween (honestly don’t know what I was thinking), and it was still kind of warm out here, and like 4-5 days after I carved it I noticed that it was looking a little slouchy, so I went to pick it up and throw it away, and it just disintegrated into this wet pile of black mold and a swarm of fruit flies came out of it. Turned into this whole ordeal to clean it up. Needless to say, the other two pumpkins that I carved were not allowed to sit for more than a day.
