Got another skimmer today, can’t wait to get my tank up. Probably will be early December before it’s ready.

Yes it is. I cant wait to get it running. Going to buy a neck cleaner for it also.

Got my large CO2 scrubber, more schedule 80 plumbing, ORP probe, Apex module and my Poseidon 200 Ozone generator in yesterday. Cant wait to get this build going!

Canopy drawings for better visualization of final product. I will be running two Apex systems on this tank so i will always have a running back up. If one Apex was to fail (has happened to me before), i will still have half of my lights and pumps running. The only equipment i didn't add to the drawing/EB8's is the Vortech's. I will have 6 MP40 divided between the two EB8's. The drawing shows only 5 spares but i am going to run the 4 fans (max allowed) in series off of one outlet which will free up an outlet for the 6 MP40's.

Got the baffles and Sock holder cut for the sump, thanks blfuller123. Going to get them installed on sump this weekend.

I know the build is going slow but that’s ok. Slow and steady. The stand has finally been finished. Welded in some gussets and some tabs to mount some electrical drawers and the back panel. Tomorrow it’s going to the shop to get powder coated.

Nice stand! I just ordered a Planet tank and will be welding a stand for it also. Are you copying another stand or did you calculate the structure to determine the uprights, bracing, dimension of the steel? Just trying to figure out how to design mine. Are you going to skin it with wood?

I basically copied my stand I have now on a 180g but added center braces to it since this tank will be 6’ instead of 4’ wide like my current tank. Also, I am using 2x3s on the top. I did not do any stress calculations. I will be skinning it with wood similar to my current tank.

This is my current 180 and the wood skin i made for it. i made it to where i can easily remove it if needed and the top doors all open for easy access to the top for maintenance. So my upgrade will have something similar.
