Love the sump area! Very clean and well put together under the hood!

Really enjoyed the thread and all the different information and aspects that came with it! That generator is so tiny and powerful! Love that!

Enjoying the thread and keep updating us all on the build!
@KingTideCorals wow I was looking back through my thread and noticed that I missed replying to your post above. I reply to everyone’s post unless I miss it. Also want you to know I’m a big fan of your YouTube channel !!! Sump is coming along slowly now. I plan to fire up my TailGator genny tomorrow or Sunday for the first time and might do a video of it.

Posted on electrical help thread with some questions about my multi meter. Found which setting for a continuity tester. Shown in picture. Then asked about how I can use the meter to isolate an electrical stray in the water if I have stray voltage from a piece of equipment in the water. And still waiting for an answer.

@Elder1945 Me wants one. I posted on one of Kyle’s of Adaptive Reef’s threads to get the story of this upgraded reef board. Randy unveiled it in a BRS video of a tank tour of their offices. Hoping the final version will have enough room for a DDR for each DOS. Board in picture appears to have just enough room for one DDR.

@TheHarold I’ve got an electronics question. I’ve got a 24V to 5V step down transformer on an Apex 24V accessory port. I’m going to use it on fiber optic moonlights for a Top Lid screen top. However I’m not sure if it’s working. I need something that runs with 5V and USB plug to test it. And I can’t find or think of anything that runs with 5V. Any ideas?

Do you have a multimeter to see if you are getting any output? Those are pretty cheap and the best method for electrical troubleshooting.

@TheHarold yes I have a multi meter. See post # 763 on this page. No idea how to use it. I took a couple of college classes in the 90’s on Physics which covered some on electrical physics so I do know a little there.

I wasn’t going to suggest that. Just check for voltage at the converter output; if it says 5v you’re good.
@TheHarold ok my meter has three sockets for leads. Which one does the positive go and which the negative?

LOL. I read the thread title too fast and thought someone had ‘250 captive bred fish’ in one reef tank. :)
@JumboShrimp LOL in any tank with that many fish they would have to be all captive bred to avoid aggression.

@TheHarold ok looks like I didn’t give the user guide a very good look. It does have a very short “Operation” section lol. Step #3: “When taking a DC voltage measurement, the polarity of the red test lead will be shown on the display.”
Thanks for the link to the article. I will definitely check it out.

@TheHarold ok I used the clips with one on the outer casing of the socket (see pic) and one on white tab’s metal parts. I’m not sure if I got a secure isolated grip on each lead but I did it to take a pic plus my hands aren’t very steady with the pointed leads. It took awhile for the readout to settle down. Don’t know how well you can see bottom pic.

Bought these two recently. The fitting connects a Sicce Micra pump to RO tubing that I’ll use for flow to the salinity probe shield SPS. The other thing is a diaphragm pump from Avast Marine Works. It’s quite powerful with a lot of head pressure, connects to an Apex 24V accessory port, and will be used to transfer water between the vessels in my Water Change & Mixing Station (WC&MS).

Another place of half a dozen places where my UV might go. Clamped to my CO2 scrubber stand.

Used MS Paint to diagram what goes on the CO2 scrubber stand. Trident written in blue. UV in red.
