Added a double hinge hasp to the IKEA. Probably won’t put a lock on but it secures the door shut tight and it didn’t before.

Got these two for my Klir filter. I’m going to try and bypass the stock controller and use my Apex for that. The diverter cap allows some of the water from the sock section of the sump to bypass the Klir.

Hung a small sheet of plywood on the side of the UV / CO2 reactor stand. Attaching two shelves for Trident and the hinted at Trident II on the plywood. Trident II for Nitrate and Phosphate. Just a rumor. Haha

Bought this magnet mount anemone holder for anemones to anchor their foot in. From Aqua Rocks Design. The glass bowl is removable. I plan to have a cage custom 3D printed for me of exact size as the bowl like in the last picture. Then glue a magnet to the outside to couple with another to hang an anemone in the bowl in the cage. The anemone will be trapped in the cage until it anchors it’s foot in the bowl. Then I can remove the bowl and hang it from the Aqua Rocks holder so the anemone can extend it’s tentacles.

Here’s the vented lid I had Printed Reef custom 3D print for my anemone bowl by Aqua Rocks Design. Keeps the anemone in the bowl until it anchors its foot then you can pop the lid off.

Got a combo of things from this. Trident shelf / UV bracket / CO2 reactor.

More 3D printed stuff. Dosing holders for glass Voss bottles. Can’t put RS NOPOX in acrylic containers. RS doser will dose from these. Think I’ll get a quad holder for the smaller size instead. Want to dose RS Reef Energy AB+, RS NOPOX, Brightwell Aquatics (BA) Chaeto Grow (for minor elements), and not sure what brand of Magnesium all from the RS doser. Then as far as 2-part, from a single DOS+DDR: either BA Reef Code A&B, RS Reef Foundation A&B, or BRS Pharma.

Took this from FB. Top photo water is drawn up from the RO FW reservoir and pumped down into the mixing chamber. Bottom photo I have a clip to hold the ball valve on a vertical surface then a bracket to hold the Apex solenoid on the vertical surface. The solenoid shuts off the tubing same time the Avast diagram pump shuts off. Otherwise the tubing will down siphon. Still have to plumb my UV, then on to the Water Change & Mixing Station.

Were you able to get the KLIR to work? If so how?
@dmy535 according to the 26+ page Klir review thread I received my unit before any of the company replacing parts or selling upgraded units. However I contacted Coralvue about having the inferior motor and they replaced it with the newest 11 rpm motor. This was a few months back. But after reading the review thread some more I realize I have the faulty cage / frame which causes the fleece to bind and tear. Now I have to buy a whole complete new unit. With this purchase I will have lots of extra parts including 3 motor mounting plates at my disposal. I would like to modify the Klir to be monitored and controlled by my Apex similar to what @PatReef did starting on page 6 of the review thread here:
And here is a picture of the modified motor and mount he did:
A5707554-D3BC-45A0-AFB1-572248254667.png

The new motor is 24V so plugs into an Apex accessory port. And also integrates with the Apexx:

— no more engine power problems
— easy alarm programming that can be received where I am.
— remote interaction in case of a problem.

@PatReef said he had to do some minor adaptations to the mounting plate. This is what I’m worried about. I should have an easier time with the wiring and Apexx integration.

@dmy535 to answer your question directly, I haven’t got it going yet. However another thing I plan on with this whole integration is making a very secure Apex optical sensor mount for water level in the sock chamber of the sump. See circle in first picture. Shows sensor mounted with magnet. I had Printed Reef 3D print for me a mounting bracket for the sensor. Then I’ll drill a little hole in the sump for a plastic screw to hold the bracket / sensor. This is so much secure than a magnet mount that can get bumped and the level is lost.

@Skibi yes a slow build at that! I had it going once but it crashed. Now to take my time until the move. And the extra stuff just kills more time. Thinking a lot about the mixing station and the rest of the DIY light system. Smaller projects include two IKEA cabinets, routing my dosing tubing, and
making a screen top net just to name a few.

I definitely understand going slow nothing great happens fast! Its been a while since I have updated my thread too after the battle with dinos i almost took my tank down. Good thing to get the UV sterilizer now that thing is amazing and hopefully you will never get dinos!! Pretty sure i got the same size you did and its been working flawlessly for year and half or more those brackets you got are awesome ima have to get some of them. Which Ikea cabinet are you using? Like how much more room its giving you and looks good on the side trying to find something like that for my tank.

@Skibi Yeah nothing fast. Would love to see an update, glad you stuck with it! 18 Watt here. The brackets are spendy but worth it. Here's the link to the cabinets:

@Skibi That's exactly why this thing isn't wet. Don't want to go through that kind of move plus have a lot of building to do on the system. Can you post a link to your thread?
