@RL6723 drill stop? Do you know if those only come stock on certain drills or are there some you can add to any old drill?
You can add it to any drill bit as long as you have the right size stop. Its just a collar with a set screw that you tighten on the bit. If you have a Harbor Freight in your area thats where I got mine.

@RL6723 simple enough. I’ve got to have some!! And we have a HFT not too terribly far.

I have my tank off my stand while I work in and around the stand.

Used sandpaper with block to sand down burrs where drill went through cabinet. Placed stickers on holes. Now to paint.

Now after I painted over the top of the stickers I realized that I didn’t make it kid proof!! Kids might want to pick at the disks.

Looks a lot like my office right now! Taking this time while its cycling to clean up
@RL6723 I get half done with a project then start a new one and then again and pretty soon have 3 or 4 projects going at one time. I’m constantly sorting everything in boxes and moving and reorganizing things. I have to clean off tables to finish up much neglected projects.

I think I found something to prevent the paint from chipping. Clear enamel.

I tried the clear enamel paint over the color and the ballast board still scratches but I think the IKEA will be okay once it fully dries. Here’s the IKEA with the door on. Not my best work a little sloppy especially on the inside where I didn’t paint at all but the paint went over it’s boundaries.

This looks exactly like my living room right now hahaha
All these posts above are about clutter in progress. I have to do 4 projects before I clean up, declutter, and start my plumbing.
  1. mount the IKEA
  2. mount and wire the modules in the IKEA
  3. mount the lights in the IKEA
  4. mount the boards to make up the RS 250 electronics cache

I ordered the parts for my IKEA cabinet lighting. I’ll explain the wiring configuration as best as I can. The puck light(s) will be powered 12V DC as DIY with the same power source as the Apex AquaBus modules. The parts are pictured in three screenshots and I will explain each.

This cord is AquaBus on one end and DC jack on the other. This draws power from the Apex 12V source.

The next in line is the proximity switch which senses when the door opens and turns on the light.

And then there’s the light. No explanation here.

Board has cord tracks on side in cabinet and UV sterilizer on side out of cabinet. Except I goofed and put the orange 2x4 upside down. The top end that’s up that people will see isn’t painted but the bottom end is.

Sitting back and looking at the same view as the top photo I see the cord tracks weren’t cut square or lined up evenly. I should have used my miter box to cut them.

Major malfunction. The fit is really tight. After drilling both sides of a board to keep this from happening I also use a file to make the hole transition on the edge. Then I pound them in gently with a rubber hammer. I might be able to back out the grommet and glue where it shattered then gently file the edges. It will probably have to go in through the backside. Cheap board!!!
