Major malfunction. The fit is really tight. After drilling both sides of a board to keep this from happening I also use a file to make the hole transition on the edge. Then I pound them in gently with a rubber hammer. I might be able to back out the grommet and glue where it shattered then gently file the edges. It will probably have to go in through the backside. Cheap board!!!

I tried taking the grommet out but the grommet cracked. I think I’ll take out the broken pieces of particle board and fill it in with wood putty and paint over it.

Oh wow! You destroyed that hole lol UV looks good though!!!
@RL6723 thanks!! Plumbing with the UV and everything is going to be a nightmare. Two return pumps, a chiller, media reactor, and of course the UV. All those will be on their own flow sensors.

Here’s where the IKEA goes. I have the stand tipped up on end so it’s easier to screw the braces in. Heads up preview of a project: I ordered a 12V electromagnetic lock for the IKEA cabinet that will lock and unlock with a electrically keyed switch. It will be a lot of fun.

I have the IKEA securally screwed on. The module templates are spaced accordingly. I will have 7 modules in it I think with space for an eighth in case I need it.

  2. x3 FMM
  3. x2 PM1

Thats awesome, a few questions for you, are you using one PM1 in display and 1 in sump? Also what are you using the 3 FMMs for? I imagine flow meters and some opticals? Last question how do you like the LSM? Thinking about getting a few since I usually dont get home from work until late and it would be nice to have a lil extra viewing time

@RL6723 good questions, thanks. Since the Apex base unit is in a separate cabinet from the 250 cabinet, I have to have PM1’s for the pH and ORP probes because the ABU is too far from the sump to run the probe cables.

The FMM configuration is as follows: FMM 1) ATK & 2 leak detection probes for the display tank. FMM 2) 4 flow sensors: return pump, carbon reactor, chiller, and UV sterilizer. FMM 3) Water Change Station optical level sensors: high and low freshwater vessel, high and low saltwater vessel. I think that about covers it.

I haven’t ran the moonlights yet.

@SuncrestReef @rkpetersen I need help adding modules to my Apex. I had the 1-link module as #7 then I made it #2 and it’s causing me a lot of problems. I still show 24V ports on the desktop as attached to AquaBus addresses 7 and 8.

Okay I got it figured out. Each FMM module has a 24V outlet. I knew that I have been using them for a long time. I thought they belonged to the 1-link module.

WOOT !!!! Post #400.

I put a grommet on the top hole of the IKEA and a screen across the underside to keep things from falling in and wrecking the fan which is directly below. I wish I would have offset the holes so water wouldn’t fall through onto the fan.
