You can use standard RO tubing and don't need t buy transparent flex tubing, also the intake lines for the doser can suck air and mess with the dosing when the Neptune fittings are used
hmm good to know as I will be purchasing DOS soon. How do you mount the fittings to DOS? Just plug and play, or do you need to modify anything?

This is the way I used to get my livestock from FedEx. At our health food store. The FedEx man is posing here. They deliver to businesses during normal working hours and at residences in the evenings so it was convenient that I had them delivered to our store. Otherwise I would have to have waited until they delivered to the house in the evenings. Anything to get the animals out of the bags sooner. With this build I’m going to try and pick up the boxes at the HQ as soon as they get into town. I buy about 95% of my livestock online because the closest LFS that has any reef stock is 100 miles from us.

Cabinet came out beautiful!!
Thanks @RL6723 I tried to space out all the modules to make room for cables because an Adaptive Reef controller board won’t fit in there. I would have to cut one down to fit and even then the oval holes would take up too much space. I have to mount the cables to mounting base sticky pads. I put wood screws into the pads because I don’t trust the adhesive.

Show us a quick video of the electro locking function! That's a cool idea using the i/o box. I mean, you could've bolted on a manual key lock easily enough... but this is way cooler than that :)

@Jax15 I’ve got the key switch, the Apex Breakout Box, the Apex Energy Bar to provide power when switched “on”, and the power supply, but I’m still waiting for lock itself. I’ll definitely make a video for you all when I get it finished.

How do you have this attached? Did you drill into the stand?
@samnaz see the brass shelf braces underneath the templates. One side of the braces are screwed into the IKEA and the other side of each is screwed into the Reefer cabinet.

Why use the Energy bar and not a 24 VDC out?

@Difrano the lock uses a 12V power source so I will have to use one of these converters. I could wire a 24V to 12V step down transformer on an Apex 24V Accessory port bare wire end coming off a EB832 or FMM accessory port. Or I could just do a plug and play AC to 12V DC wall adapter. I’ve soldered in a step down transformer before but I have extra outlets on my energy bars so that’s what I’ll use.

Dual jumbo CO2 scrubber with legs. Should hold enough CO2 absorbing media to last awhile. Connects to skimmer intake and takes out CO2 gas that would otherwise enter the tank through skimmer thus raising the pH and available dissolved oxygen in the water.

I tore up some particle board of controllers when drilling through with a hole saw. Then patched it with wood filler putty. Painted over with a enamel paint pen. I will touch up with a second coat after this dries.
