@Angel_Anthias lover you can get Biota’s stuff in Ireland? That’s great!! What other online LFS can you get in N. Ireland!
Yea we can get biotas stuff through wholesale, tropical marine centre has had their venustas and multibar angels in a few times and they were so cute, not 100% sure if we can order stuff online but im definitely going to look into it.

We dont have many online lfs sadly, that industry isnt terribly big here, there is a place called charterhouse aquatics and they do online shipping, and another called mail order corals, i know what a boring name lol. They seem to be the biggest that ive been aware of.

Purple Tang and Gold Lined Rabbitfish!

I have wanted a Purple Tang for a while (not a fan of the yellow) so when some captive-bred ones came up for sale I jumped on it. I'm not exactly excited about it being the first tang, but they are so rarely available... Hopefully I can get a Blue Hippo Tang soon and can introduce them at the same time with the Rabbit Fish and lessen any issues with them and my other fish.

Might be a good time to get a bunch of mirrors...lol.
@SkiCatTX that's an awesome choice! Purple is my favorite tang and Gold Lined Rabbit fish is much better than plainish Foxface Rabbitfish. Unfortunately my tank is too small for both of these fish. I've heard of using mirrors to lessen aggression, I would love to see that.

@Angel_Anthias lover well at least you're not left out in the cold if your brick and mortar LFS doesn't have anything exciting. Hopefully they can order through their suppliers something you're looking for that's not in stock.

Did some rearranging. First remounted modules in 250 cache. Moved BBU and voltmeter to IKEA cabinet because they didn’t fit quite right in the 250 cache, no room. Then fixed battery powered backup LEDs in 250 cache. Then decided to add battery powered backup LEDs to existing AC powered pucks in IKEA cabinet.

@Difrano I love Biota’s CB fish but their Zoas? Agreed, that price is ridiculous! I want a blanket of zoanthids of many colors on the bottom of my Reefer. I’m modeling a tank that WWC has with all SPS and Zoanthids.

Also the fishes are overpriced.

Are you going bare bottom?

@Difrano probably going bare bottom but wouldn't be able to keep a sand burrowing wrasse unless I put one of those wrasse sand bowls in there.

Installed a proximity sensor/switch to switch my IKEA cabinet lights on/off. It doesn’t use a magnetic field but senses whether there’s an object close in this case the door when it closes and switches the power off to the LEDs.

Adding a bus bar with fuses for accessories in the IKEA cabinet is pictured top left with cover beside. Top right transformer takes voltage from 24VDC to 12VDC. Bottom transformer takes voltage from 12VDC to 5VDC. This 5V is a USB cable to power a Safe Top Lids tank cover with lighted fiber optic cord built into the lid.

Transformers installed need to mount fuse/bus box and wire everything up. Power comes off the battery and powers fan in case of blackout. Also powers Top Lid fiber optic, electric lock, and whatever else I need.

Do you have a E.T.A on getting the tank wet? Do you have any rock curing?
@BeMoto I have some Pukani dryrock laying around from before I tore this tank down that I'll start curing after I make some room in the ranch shop. Definitely going to add some maricultured liverock from TBS or KP Aquatics to this. Don't know when tank will have water.

Did a wire splice job with these cheapo solderless solder connectors. Trying out my multimeter to see if I got a good solder job but it looks like I’ll have to read the user guide first. Bottom photo low boy stool from HFT to get me off my knees.
