Whooaaa!!!!!! Got a new user group badge underneath my username. ;-) Spokane Coeur ‘dAlene Reefer’s Society.
Believe it or not Coeur ‘dAlene is the correct spelling for that town. It’s French as you may have guessed.

Started plumbing. I might have to go down to one COR pump because with just one as a return you have to really dial them back. So two is probably overpowered. I think the one COR and maybe a Reef Octo Varios 2 to run the manifold is more like it. I could keep the other COR as a backup.

I have an Eshopps Skim Buddy skimmate collector, an Avast Marine pressure sensitive level switch from their ATO that connects to an Apex BoB, and I put them together to make a skimmate collector that shuts off the skimmer when the collector is full and the Apex tells me about it. There was already a hole in the lid of the collector I stuck the pressure tube through and put an O-ring on either side of it to hold it there.

I finally looked over my containers for my water change and mixing station. I wanted to see how easy they are to drill so I drilled the holes for the PMUP. Sliced through like butter. There’s two vessels and they go on top of the electronics cabinet. That’s why the electronics cabinet is a Reefer stand. It has to hold up 400 pounds of water. I stacked it up this way to utilize vertical space.

Nice tamco tanks, always wanted them for my compact rodi/mixing station. but man they aren’t cheap. I’m actually considering some rv water storage tanks instead cause they look similar, but only $100 shipped for two 20 gallon tanks! I look forward to seeeing your setup.

Thanks @samnaz . Yes this is a compact water station. The containers have a footprint of 12" x 12" and I plan to plumb them together with an external pump to mix the salt in and transfer water between the two.

I have to take a break from my plumbing and do my DIY hybrid light system. The ballasts for the T5's go in the electronics compartment of the 250 cabinet and before I get that compartment's cords all configured I want to get the ballasts in there or all the cords would prevent me from doing so. I seem to get going on one segment of this build and have to stop for some reason, usually to think it through, and go to a previous or new segment for awhile. Just changing gears I guess!

Labeling wires for the DIY dimming T5s. From the ballast the wires go through a quick disconnect. I need to know which wires are coming out of the disconnect so I used a continuity tester as opposed to the multi meter that is like reading Greek to me. The little plastic tabs have numbers and I labeled them that way.

Switching back and forth between plumbing and wiring. I’m broke until the beginning of the month but still waiting on the electronic ball valve to get here for the CO2 scrubber. Also should this week a sticker printer that plugs into the computer to do a better job of labeling.
