Just another build thread as I turn my tank from a struggling Zoa garden to happy mixed reef Madarin enclosure. No mandarins will be harmed in this thread as wife is dead set against getting one until we have bugs actively being farmed, Phyto being dosed and hopefully so many copepods that the tank is overflowing.

Suppose a build thread needs some actual build pics. These are about 80%done. Apex Controller stand is my first attempt at wood work. Sump plumbing actually took 2 attempts I hate pvc glued connections. Chiller isn't replumbed yet. This all started with a very cluttered sump with 3 of those tiny reactors and separate pumps that flow up and clog and a giant rat nest of wiring with an ancient reef keeper.
Also just realize I need to swap out my temporary way too long screws on the pipe mounts haha.

Last photo is of the bay which will be holding the Calc rx and co2. and phyto cope pod farm and phyto dosing dosing. Long story for the Calc reactor but essentially I made a bone headed mistake and now have to swap the pump out while salvaging the glued in unions it came with. Dremel time followed by epoxy and proper cure time needed meh.

Welcome to R2R!! Nice looking tank. I have the 425xl too. Keep the pics coming!!
Thanks it's an amazing tank for first decent sized >25gallon tank. Flow management is so much better with actual volume. Lookin forward to watching yours too.

Pretty darn good woodworking for your first attempt! With all those gadgets (and trident ) I hope you will have corals too!
Thank you. Definetly doing corals been keeping a some zoas a torch and anemone but after trident verifies my chemistry can stay on point adding some sps. I actually work with high pressure piping but some how nailed the wood work first try and jacked up the plumbing. Probably the whole other people not seeing it but still a little embarrassing. Wife wants framed glass doors on everything to show it off. Will probably go thru alot of wood learning to use a router for that.
