Here's a few of picks of my frag racks. I got into fragging just about a year ago, maybe a bit more? I first started on a whim as my colonies were just outgrowing my display and I ran out of room to keep upgrading my display to accommodate larger coral.

I started out with a makeshift frag rack in my display and sold a few frags locally to other reefers...and I was hooked! Selling frags is what actually made me reach out and get more involved with the local reefers, and has opened up a whole new side of the hobby for me. Soon after I got into it, I made a deal with my wife (who is 100% supportive) that I could spend whatever I want on the hobby, as long as I paid for it with money from selling or trading frags. Since then, I've added a coule of frag tanks in my basement, upgraded to a large basement sump so it can all be on the same filtration, added a bunch of new coral (mostly by trading) and have had a little extra money left over to get my son a nice 3rd birthday present and to take my wife out to dinner from time to time. I haven't actually made any money by fragging, but have gotten much much deeper into the hobby and couldn't be happier about it :)

I posted a thread the other day about "How to propagate (frag) corals with limited tank space" but today I want to talk about your frag racks and what's on them! Fragging and trading/selling coral frags is like a hobby within the hobby, similar to photography, and provides a way for us reefers to make some extra hobby money or to use as currency for acquiring nicer coral. It's the currency of reefers! So today let's talk about it!

1. Do you have a frag rack right now and what types of corals are you currently growing out?

2. What is the purpose of you growing out coral frags? Money, Trading, Gifts for Rev etc?

3. Will you show us a photo of your frags you are growing out?

Currently only have a few mushrooms that have broken loose. I lost my whole tank a year ago so I am still recovering. I had a small frag tank before that I would sell and trade from. I will eventually love to have a frag tank again once my corals grow out and need trimmed.

i like to go to others and get stuff out of their frag tanks.

Currently only for my own education and enjoyment however, some species are growing like crazy and I just wish I had people to take them rather than thinning them out and binning some.

I'm currently preparing frags to grow and to frag them later ib, at the moment, I'n breeding Berghia Nudibranch (and aiptasia as a food source), soon will see where we are ;)
If u are successful ill definitely buy them from you in need at the moment. Nothing better for aiptasia.

Thank you mate, that sound great and they usually can survive 48+ hrs shipping, but I'm in UK/England, it'a bit far away, and the shipping can get longer (or very expensive) you know.
If you look in USA you can find some dillers/traders selling them. :)
At the moment 3 LFS are waiting me to get production because when they get them in the shop, they survive there for under 48 hrs and they are gone (SOLD OUT I mean ;) )
The hard way is to supply them with enough food (aiptasia) which I have to grow by myself and to collect free from the LFS and friends near me.
At the moment I'm doing the Berghia job for them (taking the aiptasia, w/o another spreading), but only from the glass and not deep crevices for safety reasons for the tanks.
