Sure thing.

These are the electrical sensors I used to toggle lights on/off

Litever 12-24VDC Door Open Switch...

This is the kit I got but there are smaller ones if your cabinet is smaller.

Litever Kitchen Under Cabinet LED...

You may need these splitters if your planning on doing left/right side lights like how I did mine. I used one to split power to each door switch which powered 3 light bars each for each side.

Litever Power Splitter, 2 Way, 1 Female Jack to 2 Male Plugs, 5.5mm x 2.1mm, 1:2, Y Adaptor Copper Cable, for CCTV Camera & LED Strip Lighting Power Supply Connector https://a.co/d/fJjzcOY

Let me know if you have any other questions. This setup has worked great so far.

Think I'm going to try this too under my tank. I've been triggering the lights with my apex, but that's getting old.

It works really well. I'll eventually add some to my R250 too. I've never had cabinet lights in my stands before so having them now is like one of those "where have you been all my life"

Added some LPS last week.
2x torch (green and purple grape cristatas)
1x Blue/Green Ricordia
2x Goniopora (red and purple short versions)

I have lost one of the torch since introduction last Friday. The others seem to be doing good.

I added a few new friends as well.
1x Powder Brown Tang
1x Flame Back Angelfish
1x Two Spot Blenny
1x Yasha Goby
1x Wheeler's Shrimp Goby
1x Six Line Wrasse

Unfortunately, I have lost a few of them.

The Six Line Wrasse was doing really well and was released but found it stuck on the gyre pumps two days in.

The Flame Back Angelfish died in the acclimation box from not eating.

The Yasha, two spot Blenny, and Wheeler's Goby are TBD. Some days I see them, some days I don't.

The tanks progression is coming along. I had a slight diano outbreak but I just let the tank do it's thing. All I did was return the NOPOX dose amount back to 15ml daily. I've also completed filling the proper amount of bio pellets in my reactor and may adjust NOPOX back down as the bacteria begin to colonize.

At this point the diano has cleared and the tank is back to being sterile looking again. However there are more and more nooks and crannies that have kept some brownish biofilm.

I'll let the tank age some more and see how well the LPS do before adding more corals.

Rolling the dice again. Came across an Orange Peel Angelfish and had to grab one. Decent price for a not so common angelfish. Had a lemon peel before and I'm excited about how orange this little guy will get.

PXL_20221102_010357970.jpg

Grabbed a purple fire fish, a red dragonet, and grabbed another six line wrasse. So far the angel, fire fish and Wrasse are looking good. The dragonet is emaciated so I let him out of the acclimation box in hopes he finds the pods and go to town. I've been growing Tisbees specifically for this guy but given it's condition, it may not be enough. He's found a perch behind the gyre where all the pods hang around. Fingers crossed.

Grabbed an acan as well but did not expect the size I received, wow! It isn't the color that I had purchased but it looks awesome. Lights out so hard to tell. It is bluish purple with a pastel pink interior mouth.

Update:

Aside from the new friends. It has been over three months now and no algae has grown on the rocks. I've been pretty bummed about sealing my dry rock. It seems to be preventing the algae growth but has prevented all growth including coralline.

But, to my big surprise tonight, when observing the new additions, I found coralline growth! I got a few spots on the gyre which is normal. The most exciting is the one growing on the sealed rock. It's growing on a fossilized shell I uncovered when breaking and shaping the dry rock.

The Acan colony I got isn't looking too good. I think I put it under too much light. This morning I found it with all its mouths gaping, did some research while I was away, and moved it to my R250 when I got home. I don't think it's going to make it from what I've looked up. Fingers crossed being in a more stable tank and in lower light, it'll rebound.

Photo below is the acan sitting in the R250. It's pretty bad.

All the fish are doing well though. I let them all out of the acclimation box on Thursday. The Orange Peel angelfish took the most beating, got a bit of his rear anal fin nipped off but is doing great now - just another member of the tank now.

The dragonet is still kicking. It's still hanging around the gyre with all the pods and is as thin as ever. I did watch it take a poo this morning so it's eating something - looked like fine sand, maybe it's pods? Does anyone know?

The six-line wrasse is buzzing around the dragonet during the day. I saw it hanging around the cove at the front of the tank tonight. It's a tiny little guy and no one seems to mind him being in there.

The purple firefish is getting pushed to a hole it has found, by the current red firefish. I saw it come out tonight when I got home. It went for a few bites as I put in some food.

No pictures - fish are so skittish around lights out/on.

Orange Peel Angel is doing good. Had no problem getting food this morning.

PXL_20221106_143349785.jpg

Six-Line Wrasse also doing good. Has a fat gut.

PXL_20221106_143451489.jpg

Purple Fire Fish still hiding so I will have to target feed it. It doesn't come out when it's feeding time.

Red Dragonet is still super thin. I'm not sure if it'll make it. It's hanging around all the pods but it may not be eating them.

I little update on the coralline growth. Seems they're exploding now and I see 1/4" specks growing everywhere.

Having a cyano outbreak. Must be from adding too much fish too quickly. Not good that I got two more new ones. Grabbed a Yellow Head Jaw Fish and another Leopard Wrasse - got it for $30 with my order.

I've finally committed to drilling a hole in my floor as the tank isn't going anywhere now. I plan on hooking up the ATO and AWC systems up as well as hard wire the two Hydros X4 and X2 modules together. Got a few other like a remote start install on my van and other things going on this weekend but I hope to finally get to this part of the build. Going to need it since the tank is getting murky from the over population of fish.

That's coming along really nicely, any regrets with the P500? I'm really happy with the size of mine

Thanks! No regrets. I love the tank and size but if I could I would have gotten the 650. With floor support requirements and I had to stay smaller. I think the 500 is already pushing extremes already.

BTW no progress made since last update. This finally step seems like it'll never happen. Always something coming up. I can enjoy the tank at least.
