With having 3 dogs and 11 cats it's like running a day care. The have to touch anything new or left out. Not my fish, they just keep on swimming

Our other pets are dogs. While I will get upset with a loss of fish, losing one of our four legged fury family members would be devastating

Two cats and one dog.

The cats are burmese\siamese...so they are loud, clingy and they can beat up the dog.

The dog is a chiweenie....chihuahua/daushund mix...so "napolean complex", we were hiking yesterday, another hiker had this beautiful big hound/mastiff type dog off leash. He said "he's friendly", I said our dog is a....well...a pain. Our dog goes barking head on right to this massive dog..he was on leash, but we didn't have it tight. The other dog didn't do a thing, but could have easily eaten our dog for breakfast. He was going to do the same thing to a nice looking old lab earlier.

He really embarrasses us as times.

My corals and fish aren't as demanding.

Meet Willow and Gracie

Willow is our newest addition to our pets even newer than our fish! She is an 8 month old mini chocolate Golden doodle.

Gracie is our 5 year old mini labradoodle

The wife and I love all our pets equally and spread our love towards them ever since we brought Willow to our home Gracie has adapted very well and they are now best friends!

I have a dwarf Lionshead Rabbit, his name is Nox and he’s incredible. Our relationship is different than my fish as we can interact more, he’s a mammal so I can hold/pet him and let him walk around my room. I don’t like dogs and cats because I think they’re gross and I feel the urge to wash my hands after touching them, but Nox stays pretty clean.

He also prefers to sit on my shoulders like a parrot or on my neck/chest XD

We added a Puli to our home recently. Probably for the same reason I reef..... I like a challenge

Will work on his cords when the time arrives, but for now, it’s the daily job of pulling leaves out of his fur

1. Do you have other pets besides your aquarium pets and if so what are they?

We have Napoleon our bearded dragon.

2. In terms of "affection" how do other pets differ from your aquarium pets?

I'm not a very affectionate/attached pet owner to start with. Never have been. That said, I think of the fish tank is more of a whole system, and while I try my best to be sure and care well for all of the life under my stewardship, I don't think I'm emotionally bonded to any of my tank inhabitants.

I have a Veiled Chameleon named Van. He’s not affectionate but is a lot more affectionate than a fish or coral. I actually stopped reefing and got him instead because I was too busy.

I have 2 carpet rodents. They eat me out of house and home, cost me a ton of money (even more than my reef tanks), and won't listen for sheeet. I wish I could sell them but she who must be obeyed is rather fond of them for some reason.
