Hi - we're looking at stocking our first aquarium and wondered if anyone can see a problem with this stocking list? The tank will (eventually) be mixed reef with some SPS, but mainly LPS and soft corals. We have a skimmer rated larger than the tank, but is the bioload going to be OK for the tank?

Added in approx this order -
2x Common Clownfish
Firefish
Royal Gramma
Banggai Cardinal
Yellow Watchman Goby
One Spot Foxface*
Chalk Goby
Naoko's Fairy Wrasse
Longnose Hawkfish
Purple Tang*

*Foxface and Tang will be moved on when they have grown larger.

I also have a Red Sea XL300. Your stocking list doesn't seem like its in excess so you should be good to go. I would add them slowly and not all at once. Allow the eco system you are building to slowly adjust to avoid any algae outbreaks.

My stocking list...

1 Fox Face
2 Clowns
1 Yellow Tang
1 Blue Tang
1 Lawnmower blenny
2 Cardinal fish
1 6 line wrase
1 Butterfly fish
