I used some of the putty type stuff back in the day when I was last in the hobby 12 years ago. It was ok to work with back then, and maybe they've made it better since.

Drilling and acrylic rods? I've heard about that approach but just by virtue of what it entails, I would surmise it is not easy and probably a heck of a lot of work.
On your current build are the rocks just stacked then?

I ordered a few more things for the tank. I have the IM custom caddy already so no need for me to get the InTank Media Basket, but I am ordering the Floss Holder for the other side and a Fuge Basket to store some macro.

For a rough idea, I will be following the "w/ Skimmer Standard" layout for my filtration, but mirrored.

Chamber 1 will have my media basket.
Chamber 2 will have my fuge with fuge basket.
Chamber 3 is the return chamber. I'll store my heater here, return pump, ato (Avast).
Chamber 4 will house the skimmer intake and return.
Chamber 5 will have the filter floss holder and a bag of SeaChem Matrix.

I'm playing with my scape a bit. Any advice is welcome. I would like to have two islands with negative space in the middle. The right hand side will have a piece of shelf rock stacked on the rock seen, as my 12in+ toadstool has grown onto it. The toadstool will be jammed into the corner, at least as much as he can be. You can also see my JBJ Nanocube 24 that I'm using to cycle my rock. The Nanocube will become my qt once the Nuvo is set up.

Let me know what you think about the scape.

That's a nice hunk of rock on the left [emoji4]

I kind of wanted two islands as well but I found with my rock options two islands ended up not being enough rock. I ended up bridging the gap with a rock and creating a cave/overhang spot. I think you have a sizable enough piece on the left though that you won't have the same problem I did.

I do like having a cave out overhang or two. It's a great place for cleaner shrimp to hang out upside down [emoji4]

It's actually 3 rocks on the left. I need to find a way to bind them together. It's pretty snug but with a bare bottom I want the extra security.

Going to go pick up a Aquamaxx HOB 1.5 and MP10QD tomorrow. With that I'll have all the major equipment sorted out for the tank. My new leveling mat gets here next and then I'll move the precycled rock into the Nuvo. Might let the tank stabilize and then start the transfer from the 90g.

I am already acclimating the corals in my 90g to the new lights. I was running a Tek T5 6 bulb fixture with SBar actinic led accent before.

Nice lighting. I would get those lights though off the egg crate which appears to be warping with heat and VERY close to water.

Fair enough. They are warped from the T5 lights I had sitting on it for years. Ill look at rigging some up temporarily until my goose necks get in next week.

Cheaply, you can assemble a temporary rack out of pvc which will sit on top of the tank nicely. Doesn’t even have to be glued and I estimate under $5

I have some more egg crate so I was probably going to use that. It will only be up till early next week when my goosenecks get it.

Just ordered this anemone guard for the MP10. I have 4 BTA coming over into the tank, hoping to keep them on the rock structure on the left but they will do what they want.

Still considering a overflow cover.

Good news, my goosenecks came in! I got them second hand but they are great condition.

That's a cool top in those pics. Is that custom? I like how it also partially covers the back chambers.

It is the stock hood/canopy for the SeaClear System 2 aquariums I think. There was a clams hell style lid that I removed. Previously there was a PC light screwed into the lid.

I was just resting some egg crate on top and then my T5s on top of that for years. This set is is getting torn down and transfered to the Nuvo 30l in the next month. The tank has seen better days obviously. It's been running for 4 years.

Oh ok. I was confused. I thought that was on your 30L. I had never seen a top like that on a 30L. Now I know why [emoji28]

Oh, by bad. Yeah, its my 90 gallon. It's a little sad to post a picture of it in such bad shape but that's part of the reason for the downgrade. It's just too much tank for me to maintain.

Gorgeous tank! Looks like you're running barebottom? Do you have anything on the bottom to help hold those frag plugs or are they sitting on the bottom?

Thank you. No there’s actually sand. I love wrasses too much to ever go bare bottom.

Thank you. You will get there. Takes lots of time n money lol.
Well in the spirit of needing money, I am starting to sell of some of my 90g equipment. Listed my Tek T5 6 bulb that I have had for 6 years. I've got to say this thing has been stupid reliable. Not a single problem in my years of ownership and it can grow some corals. Sad to see and old friend go.
