ReefKeeper - Can I use my SID and run MyReef instead of the NET Module?

Hey guys!

Interesting situation, I recently acquired a ReefKeeper Lite and I'm super excited to use it for the first time. One thing that I think would be cool is if I was able to monitor and adjust my settings remotely with my PC, similarly to the NET module. However, I'm also looking to use an actual PC to do some of the monitoring for my ReefTank using an Asus VivoStick (I have the Seneye as well that could benefit from using this). Is there any way to hook my PC up to the ReefKeeper using the SID and have the PC function as the NET module? Or can I only control it remotely using the NET module? Any help would be appreciated!

You can. But u need to be able to remote access the PC.

FYI, the NET module has nothing to do with myReef anyway. It is it's own access point using the web pages.

I used to use a USB to ethernet adapter to run myreef on a PC in a different room in the house.

NET module can do most of the things.. it just a older interface and require more work to set it up.


This is what I setup with now and I remote access everywhere from the internet.
