Yes, it can.
Do you know if the socks section can be removed to install a roller mat system?
It's just siliconed glass panels. May void a warranty but I have looked at it and plan to do the same at some point. Have seen others do it as well.

Just added a Panta Rhei ECM 42 wavemaker pump and this thing is beast. I was finding dead zones on the far left end of this tank so needed to bump the flow up. Will probably add another and replace my MP40 that’s on the right. Panta Rhei also makes rock covers to hide the pumps so I think that would be cool.

They can be and it would void the warranty on the sump. You could do a drop in like the Klir fleece tilter Di-4 though! :)

Oh boy! The CADE reef tank got a lid upgrade and I love it. Love the custom options of this lid and it matches the rest of the tank very well. I chose a smoked black color along with black mesh. The lid has 2 large feed doors that I can easily get my arm into for maintenance. I also added 2 additional sections in the back corners for mangroves to stick out of. :)

Some current shots of the reef tank. Since inception I have lost one coral, a very nice Trachy that ended up with a bacterial infection. It was looking great and one day I noticed tissue necrosis and then bam it was gone by evening. Here’s a pic of it:

Have also been nursing an Acantho back to health for a month now. It’s hanging on but wearing me down. lol. I bleached it and ever since it’s been non stop baby sitting.

Everything else is looking great… lots of color and a happy school or bright yellow captive bred tangs. :)

Added some more corals to the reef tank. Loving that bright lights acro from Low Tide Corals AND the Raja Rampage Chalice. Ok, hooked on that Blood Pool Blasto too. Haha… I can’t get enough of ALL the corals. I’m partial to LPS though.

What coral do you think is growing the fastest for you so far?
Good question… definitely the White Face Zombie Zoas… and the Alveopora colonies.

The White Face Zombie Zoas are on that branch rock in the front right - 3 clusters of them.

Heres the Alveopora (2 colonies on the left, one in front of the other). Have never kept this species before and really impressed with it. Very much similar to Goniopora which I have 4 colonies of.

Since you have this thin in person, do you think the new ReefMat 1200 from red sea will fit? I think you'd have to remove the plate for the holders as well as the vertical wall that separated the holders from the sump inlet chamber. Looks like you could then hang it on the wall between the old sock area and the refugium.

I guess my. Question is... Is the wall between the sock holders and the small inlet chamber removable without messing up the integrity of the rest of the sump?

My type of reefer. Love the atention to detalis.:beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Nice aquascape man! You definitely have some stunning corals in there.

P.S. just subscribed to you YT channel
Thanks for the sub and kind words. I’m all about the details. Honestly would have still been dry if I didn’t have a YouTube channel. lol I like to take my time during the build and get things right. I skipped over some things gear wise in order to get it wet.

Playing around with the different background colors… there’s also a feature to cycle through all of the colors on this LED light kit. It can play through them all dimming one after the next slowly.

The LED background is one of my favorite features of this reef tank build.

My Texas corals came in a couple of weeks ago. Had a friend holding them for me while we moved from Texas to Florida. They even survived the Texas Snowpocalypse with a couple days of no power.

I’ve also been dosing the reef tank with Hydrogen Peroxide 3% daily at 10ml per 228g. Going on 2 months now and the rock is looking great.

Tank is coming along and filling up quickly.

Picked up some nems a few days ago in a package deal. Love the Rock Flower nems but going to rehome the Mini Maxi Carpet anemones… have had them before in previous systems and they can catch weaker fish. Not taking any chances with the school of 10 yellow tangs.
