Filling in nicely, ;)
Thank you! It’s definitely getting there… I have a space invader pectinia coral in the middle left that keeps killing anything the long sweeper tentacles can touch. It has like a 10” reach. Thinking about fragging it up and selling.

We have been dosing Kalkwasser for the last month and the tank is doing great.

More info: In this video I install the Avast Marine K1 Kalk stirrer to start dosing kalkwasser in my reef tank. I’m using the TUNZE ATO pump to feed the stirrer.

If you have a small tank or frequent evaporation fluctuations you will want to feed your Kalk Stirrer with a dosing pump (peristaltic pump). In my case this method will work fine for me as I have a large system that can handle the excess kalk if anything were to go wrong with the ATO. I also live in Florida and do not have any evaporation fluctuations throughout the year.

After a month of dosing kalkwasser and I added some Tonga branch rock that I’ve been hanging onto for the last 14yrs. Here are the new pieces…

Pieces added to the reef. This helped get a lot of the SPS up and away from the nems.

Whats your light settings on the app?
Here’s my light schedule with the DALUA Ecosystem light app. I’m also featured on the public schedules and you can select my schedule to apply to your lights:

Some updated shots of the reef tank CADE aquariums build. I’m getting a decent amount of algae covering the rocks again and another aiptasia outbreak. Other than that the tank is doing well and thriving. I especially love the sump and gear pics. :star-struck:

Happy Tanksgiving reef fam! Here are some recent shots of the reef tank. Things are going well and we will be hitting the 3 year mark this coming January. :) Corals are growing fast! Check out that HUGE SPS colony on the top right! All of my coral came in as small frags and I have grown them out. :star-struck:

Enjoying the reef with one of my sons. :face-blowing-a-kiss:

The tangs love treats. They get romaine lettuce every couple of weeks. Doesn’t do much for nutritional value but they love it so they get it. :)

Meet “Stinker” out Biota Dragon Goby. Dude has grown so fast and he works all day long cleaning the sand. My Mom named him because he’s a stinker. She watched the tank for us when we went on vacation and he kept her busy spreading sand on the corals at the bottom of the tank. lol

I love this room so much. The LED lights are calming and it’s just a great room to relax in.

Stunning tank! How do you achieve such crystal clear water?
Thank you! The socks really do a great job at keeping the water clear. Once a week I also dose a little hydrogen peroxide 3%. In addition I run a refugium loaded with chaeto, overrated skimmer and a kalk stirrer. That’s pretty much it.

Do use the mesh or cloth sock?
