Well, I guess it's good to have it, even if it's not used.

Well... it's supposed to be saturated, not dripping water per se. If it was allowed to dry up, it could permanently damage the membrane.

But we're getting too far ahead of ourselves.

We've established that you installed the new membrane correctly.

It appears that you have the inlet tap water (red) line correct.

We're assuming you have adequate water pressure???

And have you verified that water flows freely to the drain when the reverse flush valve is open?

And what happens to the water flowing to the drain when the reverse flush is closed. Does it slow to a trickle?
Yes! Pressure looks good and water is coming out of the black waste line.

Next i would pull the blue line, the one on the left of the auto shutoff in the picture and see if water trickles out of there.

If so, connect it back and pull the blue line on the right of your picture and see if it trickles out of the auto shut off.

There is a RO flush valve on the unit. Maybe you bumped it. Turn the valve the other way a see if it starts producing water. If not, turn it back to life it was…. This happened to me before…

What else can I do? I kind of need to make water.
What were the results from this testing?

If no water is coming out the left blue line, then the issue is the new membrane.

I recently had to replace one of those same Amazon membranes. It worked for a while then became plugged and would barely let any water drip through. I should have cut it open to see what happened but didn't bother. Replaced it with one from a reputable dealer and all is well. No more Amazon membranes for me. Forgot to add the quote with image but this the one that failed and looks the same.

That good user feedback.

@AydenLincoln
I looked up that membrane on Amazon. Nothing about it gives me a warm fuzzy.

What enticed you to purchase it? Was your choice based on price?

Price and speed. I will return that one and got another one this time with the membrane and casing. I can’t wait the amount of time it would take for BRS to deliver one. I also just spend $20 on 10 gallons of distilled.:(

Do none of your Lfs carry RO supplies? I bought my entire system from my LFS that sells @Buckeye Hydro products. Price was competitive vs online and I was able to support a local business as well as a company that resides in my home state. Im an old guy and starting to think the convience of ordering online is not all it's cut out be. I'm especially leary of counterfeit products being sold on Amazon.

I take it from your lack of response that you haven't completely troubleshot what the issue is.

There's still a possibility that this has zero to do with your membrane.
So I unscrewed it all and reinserted everything and tried running it again no luck. I reached out to their support team.

Did you verify that water is or is not coming out of the blue hose that is connected directly to the membrane housing?
