Hey guys, I recently bought a 75 gallon Deep Blue rimless tank with a bottom drilled center overflow. It has a custom made overflow box that looks like rocks. After getting the tank home and starting to clean it I realized how gigantic the thing is and it takes up a ton of the tank real estate. I assume they just used silicon to seal it all the way around, so carefully removing it wouldn't be an issue, but I'm then at a loss to what to replace it with since I can't find replacement parts at the usual amazon and ebay. Anyone have a suggestion of where I might find something to replace it with? I don't really care if it's a plain Jane stock looking black plastic one, as long as the fish will have more room to swim. Thanks

One possibility is the Eshopps Eclipse M. Good luck!
I saw those and was wondering if I got a shorter box like that I assume I would then just run 2 pvc pipes down the tank to the holes? Sorry this is my first drilled tank so all this is new to me, this will be my first setup without HOB, or canister filter.

No worries - great question! There are several ways to plumb an overflow (and then many more variants of those) and that choice is at least partially dependent on how many holes are in the bottom of the overflow. Here is a link explaining a few of the more common options including Durso, Herbie, and Bean Animal.

No sure there is a slimmer one. You could make your own or plug the bottom holes and drill the tank.

These are what I was looking for. I saw them for 40 gallon tanks last night, but nothing this deep, Thanks alot. I'm not really concerned about the width of the box itself, I just don't like the rest of the "artistic"part. I want a more slimmed down, look.

I would suggest a ghost overflow. Plug the bottom holes and drill the back of the tank. No matter what you do your going to want at least a herbie overflow.

Used on my aquariums. Manufactured in my local area by a CNC plastic shop. Silent Service Reef and Marine produces this Slim, ultra quiet overflow. Uses a drain control valve for a full siphon and has emergency drain safety.

See my post. Under my member name
Bubblehead8292. The boxes used on me 40 gallon are quiet and simply.
