Ive been out of the hobby for about 6 years and I am ready to build another reef. I have been collecting equipment here and there and I have just about everything I need at this point and I am ready to build but would like some suggestions because I have multiple build options and I am unsure which direction I should take. I think the best way is to just list off some of my equipment and see what you guys think would be best. I have about an 8'x8' space in the basement for my project.

90gal drilled corner overflow for display
100gal rubbermaid
55gal and 39gal spare tanks not in use and I do have a spare overflow as well.
Super Reef Octopus SRO-2000INT skimmer
Pan World nh50-px
Mag 7
Mag 5
Bulk Reef Supply Titanium Aquarium Heater System 1200watt
400watt Hamilton Technologies 14k MH bulb im using with my electronic ballast that is switchable from 400-1100watt until i upgrade to something else
I also have 2 - 2bulb 4' T5 fixures I used for freshwater.
Jecod dp-2 auto dosing pump

I have other odds and ends since I have kept freshwater tanks this whole time. I will be building the stand and anything else I need to do so there arent many limitations as far as that goes. Let me know what you think! Oh I should also add that the light I'm using temporarily is in a air cooled hood so the heat wont be an issue in addition to the basement being 60-70 degrees year round.

First off:
Welcome to Reef 2 Reef

Love the MH lights!

1) Need a four stage RO/DI unit with a built in TDS meter
2) An Auto Top Off system is sure nice for stability, look into the Tunze 3155

Please take the time in reading the below link

#WelcometoR2R!!! We're glad you're here - it looks like you are off to a good start! You may consider using the 39g as a quarantine tank.

Welcome A Powers.gif

Welcome back to the salty side of life! From the pic of your last tank, I'd say you're no stranger to maintaining a successful reef. I personally would consider using the 55 as a sump and building the stand with that in mind. And I second the suggestion to start a build thread. You won't regret it.
